I guess this is the forum for Elgin and Gruen collectibles? Predepression time, before 1929, watch cases were elaborate and relatively expensive. Not sure if it is, but dial does not have the usual silver degradation. I have heard that platinum appearance wiill improve with polishing but not with polish normally used for silver and gold. Who's familiar with the SuperOcean line?
I bought the watch from a fellow TZ'er, no box or papers although I do have a warranty certificate from Breitling following a service. I went on-line trying to do some research and got a little confused. There's the Aeromarine SuperOcean, the Super Ocean "Steelfish" and so on. Did it come in different sizes? Mine appears to be about 39-40mm. There are different bracelet styles as well. In short, what is this? Lol! ........
