Problem with SMP 2264.50

I have a 2264.50 that I bought in december and when I went to change the date the other day it wouldn't change. I have the crown in the 2nd position and it does nothing. It used to change just the hour hand. The calibre of the watch is the 1538. Position 3 works fine to change the minute hand. Any suggestions?........

Hey all, I was recently offered a 17 jewel, rice banded seiko watch. The seller knows nothing about it though. A picture is attached. I was wondering if it was waterproof or only water resistant? and if it is automatic-quartz or just plain automatic? Also how much it would be worth, thanks a lot.........

Compared to my radio clock this watch keeps very accurate time. In low to no light the dial really jumps out at you. I wish the second hand was luminous, but other than that I am very pleased with my purchase.
