Got this at an auction yesterday for cheap. I think it's a neat little watch.It's in fantastic shape. The band has no wear on it, nor does the watch. I don't see any gunk in the band links or on the back of the watch. The face has some minor scratches but overall, it's quiet sharp! I think it's from the 60's-70's?The band is pretty large, it's fit me well (I have large wrists)Not technically American, made in Germany, but I thought that some of the Elgin buffs might know more about it.So if anyo........
Vintage Junghans! Need some help ID-ing, and is it worth it to restore?
I inherited this Junghans from my grandfather, along with some other watches. It's been sitting in a box for a while so I thought I'd pull it out and get some more info on it.I'm not sure of the date of this watch, it looked to be goldfilled, but bezel still had some gold on it. I believe he got this in Germany, he was a US navy Sailor from 1943-1980's. He traveled all over the world and picked up a collection of junk, sometimes picking up watches and stuff. It doesn't run anymore, and honestly........
