Different (novelty?) kind of watch...

This quartz watch was a gift from a member of the Royal Hong Kong Police to my stepfather. It is worn on the belt (see middle pic of belt loop), which I haven't come across before. You just undo the front dome, flip it down and read the time. An interesting, if novel, idea. It marks the handover of Hong Kong back to the Chinese in 1997. (which I guess would also have been the end of the Royal Hong Kong Police).........
