Back from Boston and three days with my Datejust
Here's a few pictures I snapped when I wasn't in meetings. One evening we went to Salem to a neat outdoor seafood restaurant for dinner:My trusty vintage DJ was with with me the entire trip. It really made for a nice traveling companion. It's one of the least worn pieces in my collection so I was happy spend some extended time with it. Watch winding question ETA 2834-2
Any watches I've had in the past wound with what I'd best describe a ratcheting sound, however my current watch with a ETA 2834-2 movement makes an almost impossible to hear whine or almost hiss noise when being wound. I guess my question is whether this is normal for this movement. It seems to wind fine and the watch runs perfectly but this has always kinda rubbed me the wrong way.It also seems very stiff and difficult to actually wind. I need a pretty good grip on it to get it to turn.........
