Submariner spring bar question
After being told by the local omega dealer that I had to send my watch in to omega to get new spring bars installed I'm looking for an alternative option (30 days and $60 to do what I can do in 30 seconds for about $3 seems crazy)With that said, will just any ol' 20mm stainless spring bar do as a replacement? I don't want to over think this but I also don't want use sub-par parts and lose my watch because a part breaks.I do spend a fair amount of time in saltwater so corrosion resistance is imp........
Thinking of buying a Jazzmaster Moonphase...
I went to a Hamilton AD Thursday and got a quote on a Jazzmaster Moonphase that I absolutely want, and wondered if his 40% off price at $1,461.00 is as good a deal to expect (the Retail price is $2,445.00). I think it is a pretty good deal. The watch has a ton of complications rolled up in an elegant package powered by a Valjoux (I don't remember the precise Movement specs). To put it plain and simple I may be buying this watch in the next month or so but I wanted to check with the Hamilton crow........
