Elgin 761 self winding with unusual dial
The USPS brought me a present today - this Elgin 761 auto, complete with its case . I had the seller take a photo with the caseback off, so I know it's a 761 movement inside. The dial, which appears to have some sort of luminous material on the numbers and part of the hands, doesn't look like the typical 760 or 761 dial. No "db" and no "American Made"/"Made in America". Need help with a Seiko PMMM project
Hi everybody, I have a Seiko SKX007J4 and I love it, but there are some things on that watch that I feel they could be improved, those things are: a little less "sport" look on the dial and a clasp with more than two adjustment holes because the watch sits a little bit too loose or too tight on my wrist. Since I saw a picture of a PMMM (Poor Man's Marine Master) a couple of years ago, I always wanted to have one. So that's my project: building one out of some different parts.
