I have decide on purchasing a perpetual CALENDER (preowned or grey market) and I am deciding between 3940/5140 or 5059/5159 in either rose gold or platinum. I simply can't justify spending far greater amount on a brand new piece. Automatic watches are the way to go. Not dealing with replacing the battery is a luxury. I did have a minor blem with the watch (it stopped). However, I sent it directly to Lucien Piccard and it was repaired within 3 weeks - great warranty.

I purchased this watch one month ago and have been very pleased. If at first you don't understand the instructions can go to YouTube and check out the tutorials some people have been kind enough to make. The only negative is the chest band which is tight on me (48" chest). I researched for months which watch to buy a friend was trying to talk me into a Garmin with GPS but it seemed like overkill. This watch is perfect for those who do multiple sports are serious about imving their conditioning. It is definitely priced right and has a ton of features I am glad I made this choice.
