New Elgin arrival
Just won this Elgin in an e-bay auction and it just arrived. I don't know the model name or number. But the stepped bezel reminded me a little of the Hamilton Putnam, one of my grails. This one has a nickel case but does not show a lot of wear.My "winning" bid was $8.20! Postage was $8.50. It was the first time I've ever paid more for the postage then the watch! Serial number on movement dates it to about 1933. Balance is broken but I will have it restored.I still do not have a good refer........
SKX007 Model Differences
I've been checking out the SKX007 and can't find much information about the different model numbers (ie. skx007k2 vs. the other models). I looked around for a skeiko diver handbook to no prevail. I'm sure you guys have the answers. I'm really leaning toward the skx007 over the citizen nighthawk. There's just something about the simplicity that I love.
