Watch dial question

I was wondering if any one can help me out. This may sound stupid, I have a case with exhibition back and I want to put a dial diameter of 28.5. The inside of the case is 29.9. Like I know it fit but what to do with the excess space. Also the depth is 9mm. The height of the movement to the top center is 4.5 for a Skelton and 5.45 for the auto. The movements areDg2813 and 2650G being the Skelton movement.Assistance is appreciated........
