My search for Hamilton's has made me decide to visit a watch fair here in The Netherlands. There were a lot of (especially!) French and German dealers. (As a big Elvisfan I saw the same watch that Elvis wore in 1956. I knew it was a Lord Elgin but I could never figure out what model. Today I learned it was a "Direct Read" and known as The Tank. "Our German Friend" had an asking price of a whopping 850 euro's.Much to my surprise I could hardly find any Hamiltons. Only a handfull and none of them ........

I have a silly question. Do I need to keep the automatic watches wound? I finally got 2 Alpha watches in this week. One is about 20 sec a day faster, and the other a few seconds.........
