6239 Finished Project
The 6239 that I chased for 2 months is finally finished. The movement was serviced and mainspring replaced. The only other things I did was have a new crystal installed and some very light polishing on a few minor scratches. Also I acquired omega USA expanding vintage bracelet.Everything else is original to the watch, dial, pushers and bezel, etc. =) maverickPS I love the silver writting. (Sorry for the quick and dirty pics) ........

This is where my question comes in.There is currently a "Colby" posted on the bay, and the case and dial are correct, but the movement clearly says Illinois Watch Co. It's a 17 jewel piece. I know the story behind Hamilton and Illinois, but to date have not seen a Hamilton model such as the Colby with an Illinois movement inside. Could this watch be origin........
