Today, I came across some P/W's that have been in the family for a while...and there is one that I'd really like to know more about.From the little I know about these type of things, it's a Lepine calibre watch (though not an actual Lepine), with an 18K gold/enamel case (although I'm not 100% sold it has a solid 18K case), and is key set and wound. Other than a very faint hallmark and a serial number, I couldn't find any distinctive marks that would indicate who made it.I'm trying to figure out........

I know it isn't always the case. Especially when some companies have tossed them in just for advertising sake. How many is too many? How few is too few? I recall 17 being a mark of a quality. What's the difference between a 17, 21, 25? Can the 17 still be a more precise movement than the 21s etc. regardless of the amount of jewel bearings?........
