SMP non-xo-axial, or new Bond?
What would you do?From my local AD I can get an SMP old stock non-co-axial for $1,600 CDN (discounted off the $2,300 retail); or the new co-axial Bond for $2,900 or so.For overall look and lume, I prefer the SMP, with the sword hands and bar indices. However, the round indices and skeleton Bond hands are growing on me.The movement is what is troubling me mostly. Went to see my watchmaker to pick up my new/old IWC. It's a calibre 89, which Sam tells me is quite a nice movement and one of IWC's best from that time period. I'll take his word for it because I know nothing of the brand. He threw in a brand new grey lizard strap - I like the almost monochromatic look.Okay, I snapped a couple pictures of the other two watches I mentioned.
