Mechanical pocketwatch help

I recently bought a mechanical pocketwatch and today when I went to change the time on it by popping up the crown, when I finished the crown would not go back down. Now I cannot rewind the clock in order to have it in a working condition. I have no idea how or why this happened and less of an idea on how to fix it. Any help, either with identifying the problem or solution, would be greatly appreciated.........

New Vintage Arrival

I just got this 1966 Bulova Automatic earler today for $50. It could use a good cleaning, but I love the crosshair design. It was bought at the antique store I mentioned in a post last month. The strap is fairly new and I put it on right after I got home, because the watch came with....You guessed it, a Speidel arm-hair puller! Sorry for the somewhat crappy pic, but I know that these threads are worthless without pics.........
