I usually take a shot of the inside of the caseback and movement for my records, and then check the serial numbers for approximate date of manufacture with this website:Dating IWC International Watch Company serial numbers date..So I figured why not do the new IWC? First, gotta get it out of it's drawer.Then pop that sucker open.Hmmm, movement serial number 1784442 - 1965 to 1970.and case serial number 1891702 - 1960 to 1972.Looks like the movement was 1965-ish and installed into a case a year ........
