Abnormal performance on my GMTIIC...
There's something significantly wrong with my M serial SS GMTIIC guys. I reset on Mar 9, 2008. Since it's a new watch, I've been wearing it more than my others and also tracking accuracy (via time.gov and I track on a simple spreadsheet). I realized early on that if I wear it for more than 12 hrs/day and leave it dial up overnight, it runs just about dead on (overnight it loses the 1-2 sec gained on the wrist). I need some advice here. After this morning, it's running -5 sec...after 119 days. N........
Waltham serial with letters
Hello!A little introduction from my side. Have been following the forums for some time now. Have been interested in watches since a few years and with my new job I'm stepping up the hobby a bit more. I'm interested in 1900-1950 American wristwatches. I'm now owner of a few Waltham's and a Elgin. All 7jewels. Bought my first 17jewel Waltham a week ago with the serial number; B13978. I've never had a Waltham with a letter in front of the serial. Can somebody explain my how to "read" these serials ........
