Repairing Chinese Automatics

Several years ago I discovered Ebay. Long story short, I went on a seemingly high value-for-money spree which has now left me with two watches in need of repair: one is Dodo-Dead and the other loses two hours every minute (seriously!). Not a single UK establishment of any kind will touch them: "unavailability of spare parts" and "not cost-effective" are just two soundbytes I've come to abhor. It's a watch. Skyhawk owners

How has your skyhawk treated you since its purchase? Any Faults, fixes or common issues with it?Also, have you worn it while swimming or in the ocean? I am ashamed to say I have yet to expose it to anything more than hand washing as the lack of the screw down crown has me nervous of taking it for the daily swim. I must then resort to the no name $15 odd bit I am eager to get rid of.........
