Watch Repair Question
My father sent his 1982 JLC ultra thin (33 mm) with date to the factory through a local AD. The AD called and said it would cost about 1250 to fix the movement (it had not been worn in years), 1180 to clean the dial, and it would take up to 3 years to do this. Three years sounds like a really long time and I only thought Chronographs cost a significant amount to repair. Is this an excessive amount of time and is this cost unreasonable? Thanks........
