Current economy vs watches buying power..

a very interesting thread on the Japanese watch forum re: current economy situation vs our "not so" expensive hobby..Im just trying to get an idea as how much money we are willing & immediately spend for a watch before mid of the year 2009, let's say we bump into "THE watch" that is really catching our eye&heart&mind ( sick eh..) i understand some might have already gathering ammos months before this, but i guess it doesn't matter. would it less than US$500? less than US$2000 .........

Tissot 1853-1983, Really good!

I really like the silver tone watch I purchased. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's a little light weight and I prefer watches with a bit more substance.

i bought these watches for my teenage nephews and they loved them... they look expensive and very durable so far, i will let you know if anything changes on that... but overall very very satisfied with this duct.
