I got this as a present from my grandparents - apparently it belonged to my great-grandfather who died before my father was born (1954).The watch has to be wound up by hand and the strap isn't original - anybody got an idea what model / year it is?I don't know how to open the back cover and wouldn't want to damage the watch so I can't look up the serial number...thanks for your help........

This watch is so beautiful. It is a little on the heavy side, but so are some bangle bracelets.With this you get it all. The watch and bangle in one. I was surprised when it arrived because it was even prettier than when viewing it online. The artistic aspect of this item is just amazing.
