19AS stem wind?

Does the 19AS stem wind? Mine does not, and I think it should. I have to put it on my wrist and then set the time later in the day. It has also been stopping periodically, like a day or two later on the wrist, as if it is not winding efficiently, and it has a pretty advanced winding system, as I understand, comparable to the IWC Pellaton system. I have sent it back under warranty to the dealer but there is no change, in fact it is worse now. I'm thinking the watch technician doesn't know wha........

Seiko makes great watches, especially for the price. This one is no exception. I think it is really good looking and easy to read. The band is kinda cheap, but I didn't buy it for the band, and will get a better one at some point.
