So what is the lowdown on crowns and dials? I've heard that Hamilton signed their crowns before 1950. True? I tend to think this isn't true because I see a ton of pre 1950 watches with unsigned crowns. Bottom line I guess isdoes a replacement crown greatly effect the value of the watch and how can I tell if it's a replacement? I've been matching up pictures but sometimes I still can't tell. Same with dials. Does an exceptional dial indicate a re-dial most likely? How can I tell if a watch has be........
