Automatic vs manual wind service requirements

Hi all- I am considering buying an Omega Speedmaster. Is there a different service schedule recommended for automatic movements as compared to manual wind movements? Also is there a cost difference when service is done to these watches? I currently have a omega Sub 1680 at the RSC Dallas so I am familiar with service costs for a Swiss automatic movement. I have never owned a manual wind watch and would appreciate any info. Thanks much!........

Leather strap on a SS Datejust?

I want my next watch to be a "proper" dress watch and as such it needs to have a leather strap in my view.I would love to buy this one (I believe it is a 116139):But there's simply no way I could do it without unleashing the wrath of my wife and seriously endangering my financials.So, is there a way to get a hold of this omega croc straps and strap them to a ss datejust?I've seen many ss datejusts with leather straps, but I feel it looks weird since there is an empty space at the lugs and the cl........
