Hello and thank you for allowing me to join your forum. I haven't purchased a new watch in nearly 30 years; a Seiko 2 in mid 1980s and a Seiko dress watch mid 1970s. Other than replacing bands occasionally they have been issue free well, the Seiko 2 was stolen so I'm wanting to replace it.I know nothing about watches but I've had such good luck with Seiko I'd like to get another. Can you help me decide which is the best quality/value for an every day wear? I'm thinking of Seiko Sport 5 SARZ0........

How shock resistant are modern autos?

How do modern autos ( mine are Hamilton and Maurice Lacroix) stand up to impact/shock? For example if you trip and fall and break your fall with your watch side hand. Just wondering if they need to be babies or not.Thanks for any input!Oh, I also have one Alpha auto...........
