Newbie question - which vintage Omega?

I just got a Hamilton for dressing up and now I need a vintage Omega for the rest of the time. I was wondering just how durable they are - shock proof, water proof or resistant. etc.? So I bought my Vostok Europe N1 Rocket back in October of last year.
