As a 55th anniversary piece in celebration of the first Grand Seiko watch produced in 1960, Seiko today has announced a new limited edition Grand Seiko sport watch - and it's quite lovely. One important thing to note about this new Grand Seiko watch is that the Grand Seiko Spring Drive Chronograph GMT SBGC013 is the first Grand Seiko watch to incorporate ceramic into the case construction. The bezel of the watch is in "deep black" ceramic which, of course, is a material that is much more scratch........

For a total cost of $9.50 I grabbed this vintage Timex. The seller's description said it was a 1970's, but also that it said 'U.S. Time Corporation' on the back. It looked older than 70's so I did a little research and determined it was older, pre 1960, so I took a chance on it. I have been looking at ESQ watches for awhile to replace my 13 year old steel Fossil watch. I am very happy with my choice. The only con is the glow in the dark hands. Not so. But not a huge deal.
