Question Regarding a 1917 Vintage Swiss Ammo Strap

Just received a couple of vintage ammos & I have a question I'm hoping one of you can help with. One of the straps is a 1917 Swiss Ammo. At some point in the last 95 years someone carved a word (I'm assuming their name) into the ammo bag from which the strap was built. Just wanted to run a Google search on the word/name & see what it pulls but I don't' recognize the characters. What language is this & what is spelled out?Thanks in advance for any assistance provided,Allen ........
