Scott had a blow out sale the other day and I stocked up First up, is a NOS Elgin band with original buckle. I have an Elgin with a 777 movement incoming that should go with with the band!Next up is a Kreisler center expansion band with lizard skin inserts. The top parts are 10K white gold. The Speidel band on my recently arrived Celestial broke (a link snapped) and I ordered this as a replacement.The third band was a NOS Vintage Hadley Roma. Rik- I just finished re-reading the John Holbrook/Dennis (Ulackfocus) debate about the Omega Co-Ax versus omega movement. I'm proud to say I even understood most of it. But it got me wondering about something. I'm already past middle age, so let's assume I have another 35 years left in me. As long as I do not abuse a watch and service it every 5 years, is it worth worrying about whether or not the gears or axles in a movement wear out in my lifetime?........
