Isn't it really quartz watches that are now obsolite?
It occurred to me, while using my cell phone to set my mechanical watch, that wearing a quartz watch while carrying a cell phone seems sillier than a mechanical one! I mean, isn't that the ultimate in redundancy? I wear a mechanical watch to tell time, of course, but also because of my appreciation for the mechanical marvel that it is. If I wear a quartz watch, the "marvel" is no more, all that is left, is the timewhich I'm carrying on my phone anyway. ....just Sunday afternoon "food for though........
Is it really worth saving?
I have seen some of the amazing watches that Stan has saved from the trash bin, but when is it too late to save.
