Hey all,New to this forum, have been on a couple others and recognize a few names on here. Small collection and interest for me as of now, will continue to grow over the years. No flipper here. My "collection" consists of 1946 omega 6465 passed on from my grandfather, Citizen Calibre 2100 (which is usually my watch of choice right now), 5th anniversary present from my wife was a WeWood watch (5th anniversary theme is wood, so well done by my wife), Swiss Legend Conqueror for a beater accessor........
A couple of questions about automatics...
Fortunately, I learned that it is not good to change the date within a few hours of midnight before doing so.Question 1: My assumption is, however, that it would be okay to change the date forward during those hours by changing the time past midnight, then setting the time? It seems that the gears would be doing what they are designed to do, just faster. It's my understanding that the reason you aren't supposed to change the date during those hours is that there are gears that are engaged and........
