When I saw the 5135 for the first time in person I thought "what a great watch". Then, when in Tampa earlier this year I met up with Milos & Steph and was able to give Milos' 5135 an extended test drive. I spent hours looking over pictures, pictures & more pictures of the 5135. Since then I decided I wanted one. Milos - ever the helpful one - said "keep your eye on the prize and stay on the path". Sound advise, right..Only now I can even look at another watch without comparing it to........
Hamilton of the Day: 50th Anniversary Ventura-Goldtone
There seems to be interest in this collector's version of the Ventura. It appears to be very slightly smaller than the re-issued model but with a slightly larger strap.The dial on the goldtone version has a diamond chip at the 10 o'clock dot to signify 50 for 50 years but does not say "Electric" on the dial as does the sstl version. Both are Swiss Made. I am told that the goldtone dial is not really black but a very deep bronze with a brown croco strap.Each watch has a number under the crown ........
