New to the forum, future Omega owner
First off I just want to say that this is a fantastic forum. I have wanted an Omega for many many years. My father owned a gold Omega DeVille(? - not sure, I only know that it was a gold dress watch) that he bought around 1945. He wore that watch every day, so much so that the back wore paper thin. I have wanted one ever since I first noticed his.I have a couple of questions for you guys. First of all, when I have the funds available I am going to get a Seamaster Pro 300M. What are your thoughts........
Packaging, does it matter?
Every new watch purchased comes in some sort of packaging. For some its a flimsy cardboard box with maybe a bit of foam and a hang tag. For others it is a burlwood treasure chest with brass lock and tailored cloth covered padding. And who doesn't remember those long clear plastic snap cases Swatch watches came in back in the 80s? Packaging does have importance to manufacturers or else it wouldn't be there. Packaging costs money that could go into the watch. I've always found it interesting........
