Should i trust the retailer?
I have found the Omega i've been waiting for. A guy has a Seamaster for sale, it looks real and he say's its real. I told him to meet me at a dealer and if they say its real.....i'll buy it. My problem is, will the dealer check it? I mean REALLY check it. He is asking a very low amount just under a grand. What should i do?........
So Why All The Fuss?
I'm guessing this auction was for a Reagan? With an enamel dial..It sold for $265 - about three times what Reagans with applied gold numerals achieve. Fair enough you say - a common enough occurrence with original enamel dials.BUT - the dial looks a bit too good to be true (ie I'm guessing it's a refinished dial??) and it doesn't sit square within the bezel. So - is it a refinished dial and why is it askew - and, if this is true, why did someone pay $265?stales........
