Hi....I am new to the forum and I am in a dilema, Help........I have an 5700 air king with date..........I purchased it last year from the widow of a member of the R.A.F. who after the war (world war II ) was recruited by PAN AM..........when he retired in 1975...PAN AM presented him the omega. When I bought it 35 years later I was the first to wear it, it had never been worn, he prefered a watch that his wife had bought him on her wedding day ! ............I have alway wanted a Submariner 16610........
Re-springed (or re-sprung)
My old Wittnauer dress watch's mainspring broke the other day - first time that has ever happened to one of my watches. My watchmaker ordered and installed a new mainspring and we are back in business today for $70 tax, title and license. He said mainspring costs have increased, but it was about $20 less than he had thought.........
