Hello All,I have an Omega Seamaster Quartz, Movement 1538 and when I try to tighten the crown down, my watch quits working, usually within a few minutes. If I push the crown down so it's past position 1 and just barely start to tighten it it works fine. It seems to me that somehow the stem may be shorting out the watch when it's screwed in all the way, but it's also strange that it doesn't stop working immediately when the crown is screwed in all the way. 1941 Bulova President
Picked up a few vintage watches, the first is a Bulova President from 1941. It has not been very well maintained, obviously, but, someone at least serviced the watch a few times in its life by the etchings in the back. The first time was 1945 and the last time was, I think, 1989. The watch winds very smoothly and keeps very good time.
