2252.50 Help with Purchase for New Member

First of all to the community thank you in advance for any guidance and advice regarding this inquiry. I was fortunate to find this forum and read many of the posts regarding Omega Models and really found a liking to the 2254.50. As I understand this watch is no longer made however I called the only AD in my area to inquire and after some looking they determined they had a similar model although in the "mid-size" variety (2252.50?). The MSRP was indicated as $2250 but was told the true price........

My son decided to start collecting pocket watches. He searched for quite some time before settling on this one. While this will not get a lot of day-to-day use. He loves it! It looks great, and he's received many compliments.
