Interesting how each country comes up with their own time zone. I got interested because I looked at Japan stretching in geographic latitude having 1 time zone. Russia has 11, China for political reasons(purpose of unity after the civil war) is the largest with only 1 zone, U.S. is 9 due to territories stretching the pacific or 4 if you count continental U.S.. Arizona and Hawaii decide to skip daylight savings, and Antarctica can be in theory anytime you want it to be "what a mess!"........
