Blast from the past. . .

I am sick! I owned one of these and it is one of three that I sold at a garage sale. I have seen them on ebay for prices approaching $200. This one is priced at $389. Nostalgia pays.My watch said "Hamilton" but apparently some models carried the name "Buren" on the dial. Swiss Buren was part of the Hamilton company.Here is another one I owned as part of the Jay Ward series. While it is frequently sold in the $200-400 range, this one sold at auction in 2006 for over $600. Wow.........

I didn't really see another forum for this question . . . and since Seiko sold the first quartz watches and the Japanese watchmakers still seem to make a lot of quartz watches, I thought I would ask here.People often discuss what are the top or "best" mechanical watches, whether it be Patek, or AP, or even the truly custom handmade watches made by individual watchmakers in Britain and Switzerland . . . IWC IW376903, Really good!

I love the way this watch looks on my wrist. The face is beautiful, and the touch of yellow on the chronograph hand is great. I'm having trouble sizing the watch perfectly though. I'm either going to have to wear it very loose or somewhat snug. There is a adjustment you can make with the wrist clamp, and loosening that a bit did help. One thing of note: the watch band is very shiny; I don't think the pictures convey that very well.

I received this as a gift for Christmas and as soon as I opened the box I dropped my jaw because it was so lovely. I love that the oval is a little off in shape. It gives it a very contemporary feel while still maintaining elegance and simplicity. This watch goes with everything from casual to formal attire and is going to be one of my favorites!
