Question about Quartz Watches

I have several quartz watches, Seikos, Wenger, Hamilton, and one vintage Omega Seamaster Professional Diver. With the exception of the Omega most are relatively inexpensive. I rarely wear any of them. I've heard that a quartz movement will eventually "burn out." I keep fresh batteries in them even though they just sit. My question is, should I pull the crown out and let them stop or keep them running???Will I prolong the life of the watch or is it better to keep them running???........
