I'm sure this is a simple question... changing a Monster strap?
The last time I tried to change a strap on a watch that had holes all the way through the lugs it was a big mistake. I thought it had a spring bar, and the holes were just an easy way to compress the spring. As it turns out, it was a press-fit pin with a collar, and I bent it beyond repair. I have in my collectiona 1939 elgin dual dial doctors watch. No scratches, dings or wear on the case which is 14KGF. The dial is not refinished but is new old stock while the movement tells great time and was recently serviced. Any idea what it is worth?........
