Beginner looking to step up his game
Hey guys. I've been collecting for about six months now and I have about six invictas ranging from a $150 speedway model to a $300 excursion. I'm looking to upgrade to nicer watches and I was told there were better things to spend a higher dollar for. I've been getting curious about tritium gas luminescences and found that that Ball was a good candidate (though the ball engineer magnate GMT is a little more then what I want to spend right now). Anyone have any words of recommendations?........
Typical accuracy, or just lucky?
I have an Orvis watch that I purchased from one of their catalogues about a year ago. I have been surprised by how accurate it has been. I would always check it against the clock in my truck while going to work, and noticed that it was pretty much, dead on.Two days ago I decided to check it against the Greenwich Mean Time, and found that it is +4 seconds a day. To me that is accurate! Has anyone else tried an Orvis watch? This particular watch is the Vintage Mechanical Chronograph.I ........
