Super Engineer II + Seiko Monster
Picked up a Seiko Monster recently (SRP311) and decided it needed a new bracelet. I managed to get the original bracelet sized properly and didn't lose any collars (I am not a fan). I wore it for a week and constantly checked the bracelet to make sure one of the collars didn't fall out (okay, I'm anal). The things you find in a watchmaker's display case!
Last time I was in (about 2 weeks ago) I espied this Waltham tank and asked about it. It's in a 10K gf relatively large case (seems about the size of a Hamilton Gladstone). I believe the interlug width is 18-19mm. The movement (not photographed yet) is high-grade, 21 jewels. I think the watch is from the '40s stylistically, likely made to compete with the Lord Elgin. He said he'd sell it to me (hopefully for not too much) after he services it. The movement also needs some sort of sleeve to sit p........
