Building your own custom watch safe/winder

I am thinking about using Orbita's Sparta 1 DIY module to build my own watch winder/safe and was wondering if anyone had done anything similar or had any suggestions.I also like the idea of being able to display my watches, but it makes me very nervous to think that all of that money could be in effect sitting open for a smash and grab robbery even with a house alarm. Also having them easily seen means easily pocketed when anyone comes into the house (workers, guests, friends of friends etc). I ........

The New Skeleton (Lots of Pics)

I had mentioned a while back how I was interested in a skeleton watch. I had been keeping my eye open and then ran across a post for this particular watch from Tao International. I hit the 'bay, did some scouting - and had a package arrive yesterday!Build quality is super. I am very impressed for a watch that costs so little (cough, cough - MSRP $3,600). The movement is based on the 6497 - they say running at 21,600, I say 18,000. It is keeping good time, too early to tell for sure but look........

U Boat 2273, Really good!

I love the look but had to send it back as it did a lot of moving on my wrist. I had it hooked on the est notch. I do not like to wear a watch if it does not fit.

U Boat 2273, Really good!

This does just what a watch should do. Easy to see. Easy to illuminate. Easy to change time settings. Easy to put on and take off. Great for working out and wearing casually - water or sweat are no blem.
