COSC and non-COSC Pam....

Does anybody has any experience on non-COSC PAM ? in its accuracy and reliabilty ? I have been looking to BASE model as it does sings to me a lot due to its clean simple dial look, compare to othersbut i just found out that it is not COSC so the the AD even told me about getting the MARINA which costs more ( obviously ) .. any opinion would be much appreciated....rgdsPete J........
