Pilot Father and Son Watches... do you have to get both?

I know they say you can only buy the father and son watches as a pair, but is there any way to just get one of them? I really like the "son" version and if I could find a way to avoid spending $45,000 I would definitely get oneI've heard that the Son version retails for $4,500 by itself, but is there any way to get it without paying 40k for the Big Pilot?Anyone out there know any tricks?........
