So Boscoe's thread on quartz got me thinking. What is it about the auto's I love so much. Yes, there's a bunch of small reasons. But when I look at them on the wrist the glaring reason is I love the clean sweeping motion my auto's second hands give me. I don't like the 'click, click' of the quartz second hand.So here's my question. If someone made a quartz watch that was identical to it's auto version in every way AND had a sweeping second hand - would you buy it if it was priced the same as ........

OK Everyone knows the financial markets are a mess, so let me throw this out there ...For those of you multiple watch owners like myself, suppose you had to sell all but one, and the one you kept would be your 24 hrs per day, 7 days per week, 52 weeks per year, day and night, all occasion watch.
