Cost of service/repairs - ETA vs in-house

I am very close to buying my first automatic watch and I have a quick question. Is it is a fair statement to say that watches with more of a in house movement would have higher repair/service bills than something with ETA movement? This assumes that the watches have the same number of complications (not trying to compare a chronograph to a non-chronograph for example). Thanks.........
