Old Seiko watch

I have an old Seiko watch. It's around 37 years old (give or take). It's an automatic, and has a main spring that is manually wound. This is used for the alarm which is a tiny bell in the watch. yeah, it sounds like a little mini old fashioned phone. I ran across it the other day after not seeing it for around 30 years, after a few shakes it began to run and ran well. Even the alarm worked fine.The problem is it was my first waterproof watch and I took advantage of that. I often got it wet with........

I received this watch as an early Christmas present. It is the perfect dress watch. Very classy with lady-like portions. The gold finish matches my 14kt gold jewelry exactly. I haven't used it enough to answer for the durability, but I have had other watches that have lasted for years.

I was looking so forward to getting this watch, but when it came I was so disappointed!!! The quality just wasn''t there...the metal seemed so very cheap!! Perhaps I''m used to stainless, or sterling watches, but this watch is lacking quality!! I would have gladly paid more because the concept and style were great, but the materials looked and felt well.
