Am I being paranoid?

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed every now and then, a 'new' member pops up, posts maybe one or two threads with subjects like "what's this watch" or "Just got this today" and then adds a pic, with a description of the watch cut & pasted out of a watch seller's website?Is this a bit of subtle advertising? I can't see the point as we don't actually know where exactly to go to buy it so I can't see any benefit to the poster. Unless they sell that type of watch and are just trying to ........
